#NeitherSexNorWork: Pass the Abolitionist Equality Law NOW!
Embrace Dignity is a South African feminist and abolitionist, human rights advocacy NGO established in 2010. We seek to challenge gendered power inequalities that continue to oppress women, girls and marginalised people through the system of prostitution, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and patriarchy. We want to address this by strengthening support systems for women and marginalised people who want to leave prostitution, examining men’s demand for prostitution and by creating a social and political consciousness about the economic and social conditions of women, girls and marginalised people through law reform and community advocacy programmes.

Law Reform Advocacy
To prevent exploitation of and violence towards people in the sex trade as well as address gender-based violence, gender inequality and patriarchy. We want the current legislation to be changed. -
Public Education
In order to prevent entry into the system of prostitution, we act as a catalyst to change the mindset of the public about prostituted persons by promoting survivor-led social dialogues and networking with civil society, government, private and state institutions, and in this way, we educate South Africa as a whole. -
Exit
We facilitate the exit process for prostituted persons by referring them to service provision organisations, institutions, and government intervention programmes so that they can access psychosocial support, leadership training opportunities, and gain skills to become employable and economically empower themselves.
